Dear Fellow Retired Sergeant,

I hope all enjoyed your summer the best you could and remained healthy and safe. These are crazy times we are all going through, between COVID-19, civil unrest and those who want to “Defund the Police”. We must stay strong and remain united, we can and we will prevail.

The COVID-19 pandemic is still among us but appears to be winding down. Currently, there is no vaccine to prevent coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19). However, the FDA is working with vaccine experts, drug manufactures, and researches to help expedite the development and availability of medical products such as vaccines, antibodies, and drugs to prevent and treat COVID-19. The RSA had to reluctantly cancel two general membership meetings. With the loosening of restrictions, we are going forward with our September meeting in Mineola. We will comply with social distancing requirements as well as all regulations and restrictions to keep you safe. We pray for those that were victims of this horrific pandemic.

Civil unrest has brought upon us violence and looting and is destroying everything we all worked so hard for as Frontline Supervisors. We may be retired, but we all still care and support our brothers and sisters of law enforcement who are now on the frontlines. I can assure you that I am in constant contact with Ed Mullins and the SBA. I have assured him that we are ready and able to assist and totally support them. As you know, the RSA in conjunction with SBA, has attended pro police rallies and have visited numerous police facilities proving food, drinks, and much needed supplies. We will continue to assist in any way we can.

With all that is taking place, it is more important than ever that the RSA maintains a strong MEMBERSHIP. In numbers, our voices will be heard and taken seriously by the elected officials. With that said PLEASE be sure to vote this year. Vote the candidates of your choice but be sure to vote. Every vote does count!

Thank you for the privilege of serving as your
President.

Fraternally,

Patsy A. Noto
RSA President
